Obamalot in space

No JFK moment this time. We’re not going back to the moon. We’re not going to Mars. In fact, we’re not boldly (or even cautiously) going anywhere. The only good part is the idea of encouraging private space enterprises like the government pushed aviation in the 1920s by paying for air mail deliveries. Only something tells me that Barry won’t be putting enough money into that to do much of anything with it, either. Hope and change! Only for earthworms.

  1. Yes. Leave the Mars to Chinese and Indians. They have more patience and are good in agriculture too 😉

  2. Leave them the moon, too. I hope the Indians get there first. I think they have the most potential.
I doubt you could grow anything on Mars except inside a dome with its own atmosphere. But I hope we get to find out before our generation takes its leave.

  3. Could you delete this post? It gets me all upset each time I scroll down.
    And that’s why I hate today’s left.
They always want to save money on useful and important stuff because they need it to buy votes.

  4. Frankly I’m fed up with NASA. Their plan for the next manned craft didn’t even have an airlock. They should stick to robots. They have too many bureaucrats to get anything done in manned space except at a huge price. Private enterprise is needed, and there are outfits like Space X. Remains to be seen if they can operate under the fed safety and environmental rules.
