Rule 5: Denise Bidot

Rule 5: Gwendoline Christie

Gwen doesn’t precisely qualify as one of our favored plus-sized models. But she is larger than many women and has been a model. She’s a British actress who is better known these days as Brienne of Tarth, a striking though rather plain knight in the Game of Thrones. And one of the few women in this persistently unclothed epic who doesn’t get naked from the front. She also uses a wooden sword to fight a bear. She grows on you. Or has me.

Rule 5: Jenn Purvience

Time for a break from politics, as Wormtongue rounds out his eight years of mendacity, by trying to lock Trump up in policy and regulatory chains. I doubt he’ll succeed, since he’s failed at so much else.

Meanwhile, back to my favorite plus-sized models: like Ms. Purvience here. And a pleasurable and productive new year to one and all. At least we know the economy will improve.

Rule 5: Jackie Evancho

The 16-year-old soprano with the pretty face and sweet, pitch-perfect voice with the phrasing of a much older singer, is what they call a classical crossover. She sings opera (performing with tenor Placido Domingo) and show tunes (dueting with Barbra Streisand) and solos pop tunes such as The Rains of Castamere (from the Game of Thrones). She’ll be singing the National Anthem for Trump’s inauguration, unfazed by the leftist bashing she’s gotten since agreeing to. Since her audience is mainly adults who prefer traditional music, and probably voted for Trump as well, her album sales have shot through the roof.

Rule 5: Ivanka Trump

President Elect Trump’s secret weapon: His eldest daughter, an executive veep of his empire, who reportedly is his muse and who convinced him to run for president. Not bad for an Orthodox Jew. She. Modern Orthodox, of course.

UPDATE:  Except for the inevitable hyperbole that even the conservative New York Post indulges (I seriously doubt “the public was outraged” at her selling a  line of dresses and jewelry), this is a pretty good profile of her.

Rule 5: Barbis defending Trump

They’re older now, 25 years later, but still gorgeous and, by the way, defending Trump as a gentleman with a trashy mouth but a gentleman nonetheless.

“‘It is frightening the way the media can ruin someone’s image with accusations like the ones leveled against Trump,’ Shane Barbi, now 53, said. ‘While I never want to dismiss a woman’s claim of sexual abuse, in our personal experience we saw no indication that Donald Trump would do anything like that. On the contrary, he was a perfect gentleman to us, and to all of those other beautiful women that were all over him.'”

They say, however that they are voting for Jill Stein and the Green Party.
