Space X’s Elon Musk celebrated the Feb. 6. 2018, first flight of its Falcon Heavy rocket by launching a cherry-red Tesla roadster with a space-suited mannequin driver into solar orbit. Video low-orbit view here.

When you’re filthy rich you can do anything, obviously. Even evade the environmental wackos who might have held this up. Too late, guys, the roadster is now about 226 million miles away. And probably a wreck.

Because those people have turned Republican. They’re why Trump won and may go on winning this year and in 2020. And may be joined by Trump-backed Tea Party types as the establishment GOP is defeated. Because the working class get out and vote, while the coastal “rich” often can’t be bothered.

Indeed, it certainly looks that way given the distortion at the heart of the story.
“The Post does not provide the full transcript of the question, from Sen. Al Franken (D-MN), and Sessions’s answer. Instead it summarizes the exchange in a way that makes it seem that Sessions was asked if there was any contact at all between the campaign and representatives of the Russian government.”
And Session promptly denied the truth of the piece.

A Rodriguez heir eventually fled to Mexico but found the Inquisition was there ahead of him and so he continued to be a Catholic in public and a Jew in private until about 1590 when the family was found out and tortured and executed.
Today a small, handwritten diary survives them. It’s a compelling story worth a read. Especially when you consider one of its meanings: that Jews were in the New World before the Pilgrims arrived.

I’ve heard for years that the Clintons and their staffs did much damage to the White House, in particular things that would cause the incoming Bush administration time, trouble and money to repair. But until now I’d never seen any proof. This is from a GAO report in PDF format you can access on your own:
“Incidents such as the removal of [W] keys from computer keyboards; the theft of various items; the leaving of certain voice mail messages, signs, and written messages; and the placing of glue on desk drawers, clearly were done intentionally…
“…about two dozen prank signs, printed materials, stickers, or written messages that were affixed to walls or desks; placed in copiers, desks, and cabinets; or placed on the floor. They said some of these were derogatory and offensive in nature about the president, and sometimes there were multiple copies in certain locations…
“a total of 10 to 11 missing doorknobs, which may have been historic originals; an EOP official, a GSA official, and a Secret Service official said that a presidential seal 12 inches in diameter was stolen; two EOP staff said they observed a total of 9 to 11 missing television remote controls; and two EOP staff said that two cameras were missing. In addition, two EOP officials said that about 20 cellular telephones could not be located in the office suite where they belonged….
“Two EOP staff said that they saw a total of 5 to 6 telephone lines “ripped” (not simply disconnected) or pulled from walls, and another EOP employee said that at least 25 cords were pulled from walls in two rooms….”
