Do they still say Lady’s Gun?
Or purse gun, of about a .32 caliber, preferably in a revolver, so the lady in question doesn’t have to learn how to unjam a semi-auto. You might have a misfire but you just pull the trigger again to choose a new round and fire it.
Such is the conversation I’m having with an OCS chum who is a former prosecutor who prefers 9mm pistols. Bit too much recoil for the lady in question, unless you get an expensive one.
While I’m trying not to think about what may happen in a few months if the election results (in-person mixed with mail-in) are delayed by more than a week. Would we know the results by Xmas?
If it’s not close, they can’t cheat, is a truism that ought to energize both sides. If it is close, it may be months before we know the final result, and wonder whether we can trust it.

Major Norman Vulinski Linnear
He was one of our tactical officers in Infantry OCS at Fort Benning—a black lieutenant, a rare thing in 1968. Several remember him fondly as someone who taught more than he harassed.
He later did two tours in Viet Nam, as a MACV adviser and later an infantry company commander in the 25th Infantry Division. He died in 1990 at age 51, and is buried at the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery.

The Attempted Covid Coup
“COVID-19 is not America’s plague. There was never the slightest evidence that the virus could produce mass casualties; all evidence pointed in the opposite direction. Instead, the ruling class took this opportunity to extort the general public’s compliance with its agendas. Their claim to speak on behalf of ‘science’ is an attempt to avoid being held accountable for the enormous harm that they are doing. They continue doing it because they want to hold on to the power the panic has brought them.
“In sum, the lockdowns have been inflicted and perpetuated by people who care more about your subjugation than your health. They want to wreck the U.S. economy and increase the Democratic Party’s chances in the 2020 election. And they might succeed.”
Looking at you, Dr. Fauci.

HCQ redux
Everything is becoming political, even science, says psychiatrist and author Norman Doidge, in “Hydroxychloroquine: A Morality Tale,” in Tablet Magazine.
We knew science was becoming political, as evidenced by the “the science is in” attitude of many (but not all) politicians and scientists about global warming or climate change.
But HCQ, a $10 usually-successful treatment for the Wuhan virus used all over the non-Anglo world? Yep. Here, in the Anglosphere, it’s tied up with Trump Derangement Syndrome because the president touted HCQ early in the pandemic. Which meant the Mediacrats had to condemn it and did and still do.

Windows and bugs
Yesterday we had a young window washer from Gwyndows come do the outside and (mostly) inside of the mini-rancho’s windows for a reasonable price. He missed a few spots on some windows, but for the most part, he did a splendid job and we are grateful.
Today, this afternoon, Bugmaster is coming to do the whole place, mostly the baseboards, because we’ve seen a few, little spiders and millipedes. And we don’t like ’em. We figure the scorpions are staying out because they’re desert creatures and it’s in the triple digits. But come the fall and temperatures dropping, they will come inside to get warm, or maybe have a warm place to hibernate. Plus they love spiders. So we need to deny them a food supply by getting rid of bugs! So they’ll go somewhere else.
