My Reiki Level One training will be on May 15, with Reiki Master (Mistress?) Cindi Barnette. Includes attunement. Will entitle me to self-treatments which I have been doing daily already, but maybe there’ll be some sort of enhancement after this.

Hilton here we come

The Hilton Garden Inn in Oklahoma City, to be exact. All booked for the 25th, 26th, and 27th. Amtrak all the way. All to get to Higgins in the northernmost panhandle of Texas to see Russ’s grave. Hopefully no tornadoes. Certainly won’t be any ice storms. Yay!

Austin’s almost daily shootings

They started last summer, after the city council had defunded the police to the tune of about 150 million. Since then we’ve seen almost daily shootings and stabbings. Pretty generally in the usual places of trouble: East and North Austin. Thankfully not near where we are, at Neely’s Canyon in Northwest Hills. Not yet.

Wren buddies

As I was texting a medium we know about Mrs. Charm and our wren buddy appearances, Bar saw one land on our porch and check out a new bird house I haven’t hung up yet. I always feel Mrs. C sends them and I always tear up at the sight. The medium said it was awesome and a sign of love. Time to hang the bird house.
