Night owl’s eclipse

Total eclipse, yes, but, here in Central Daylight Time, beginning at 4:52 a.m. tomorrow, and ending at 6:22 a.m. Wish I could join you, but I have a child to help get off to school, so I need my sleep. Thankfully. So I’ll just have to miss the exciting part.

  1. thanks for the head’s up, Dick. I dropped in to see what you’ve been up to at precisely 4:52 this morning. At first, Orion was the only one hovering above my backyard. He never takes out the trash, but he doesn’t eat much and never drinks my beer, so I guess I shouldn’t complain. I soon discovered the tree I despise was obscuring the retreating moon, which led me to the front yard. The moon is completely gone now, as am I. Off to pretend to know what I am doing!! Thanks again!

You are bolder than me. I stayed abed. Good to hear Orion is back. I miss that guy in the summer.

  5. second morning in a row I’ve been up at 3am… got a project going out the door today. I saw a bit of the moon again as I started into Austin from Taylor, but the sky had clouded over by the time I’d gotten halfway here.
