OCS buddy Tom Ringwald, who commands a VFW post in Indiana, wants a sit rep on the recent Texas report. My first take: Mass psychosis. I generally don’t do UFOs, but for you Tom… I scrounged around and found the Dallas daily’s take, which seems to be that the publicity has driven so many kooks out of the woodwork that it’s almost impossible to find the truth. But UFON is trying.

    The most interesting part in many of these cases is the official response. Or the lack of it, as it happens in many cases.
    Mass psychosis doesn’t explain all cases, nor do optical illusions. There is something out there, but we’ll never know for sure.

    Ah, a believer, eh? I think you have too much faith in “the official” to know much of anything beyond their noses. As an FBI friend of mine once said, the government couldn’t find its butt with both hands. I believe there certainly are other civilizations out there (way out there) but they aren’t able to move from one star system to another anymore than we are.
