Green I could embrace

Although it looks like you might need a rain forest. Or at least some tropics. Better than this, at least.

  1. Yes, he’s excellent.
About green walls: there is this German manufacturer, Jacob, I think, that produces hardware for this type of vertical planting; it’s a st.steel and aluminum cable and trellis system that forms a second skin of exterior walls, at a distance of 5-10″ from the masonry, and is held in place by brackets bolted into the wall. It’s a beautiful thing.

I might enjoy living in one of those apartments. But I bet the humidity would be soaking.

  3. The advantage of the cable system is that it makes growth controllable. leave the glass portions of the facade w/o the cables, plus use the slow-growing climbing plants – then there is a balance between cooling of the walls and aeration.

It would eliminate the need for hanging potted plants. 😉

  5. But she can still keep the floor models…compromise is the name of the game!
