The real unemployment rate: 11 percent

No big surprise. The real-er rate is probably closer to 20 percent.

But, officially, it’s only about 8.5 percent, because of the way the feds manipulate the data. Whoa, there’s a revelation.

They can’t allow their Donk administration to seem like it’s presiding over a new depression, which more than a few think that, indeed, it is.

  1. Feds manipulate data in every country – democratic or totalitarian. So yes, one must keep a handy multiplier for data like that.

  2. Our feds have a curious way of doing it. When the Donks are in power, they manipulate unemployment downward. When the Elephants are, they manipulate upward. Very flexible.
