Finally…. After forty-one years of President Nixon’s War On Drugs, a group of mothers has organized—just as women did to help end Prohibition.
Their children have been imprisoned (or legally murdered) for nonviolent drug offenses and these California women want the political, social and law enforcement madness to finally stop.
MomsUnited: To End The War On Drugs
“It hasn’t saved anybody, it hasn’t changed anything, it’s created chaos in neighborhoods and shootings, it’s stupid….”
Amen. Happy Mother’s Day.

No way they will change anything. Both big parties are against a change, too much pork is spread over the whole deal.
True, but I think you are too cynical, hating pols as you do. The American ones are, if anything, very responsive to polls, and if this group grows into significant numbers and can break through the old Democrat media barrier, via social media and blogs, etc., they can change this thing. Women vote. Particularly older women. American pols know this. So I’m hopeful.
I sincerely hope you are right on this.
You’ve changed your mind on legalization, then? This isn’t exactly legalization, but it would have that effect if the “war” ended.
