Carney is a paid liar

I’ve got to hand it to Republican Darrell Issa, he doesn’t mince words when referring to Wormtongue’s chief flack and bottle washer as a liar for hire. The fact that he was talking to CNN’s (increasingly) Fat Candy at the time may have had something to do with it. Her own Democrat liar-for-hire status is well known.

Nevertheless, White House spokesmen of both parties have been lauded in song and story, well, the Hollyweird fantasy The West Wing, anyhow, when the, uh, truth is that they aren’t really anything more than shills for the prez and his cronies.

My own pater familias was a government PR man by trade for most of his life and, while he never actually admitted lying for his bosses, he often justified the lies government tells as sometimes being necessary. Uh huh. And that’s why we trust ’em so much. Because we can’t.

UPDATE:  Choom Boom! Shooting at Issa can be counter-productive with the leader of the Choom Gang as a client, eh Plouffe?

  1. Great point; they can’t have it both ways.

Issa’s charges in 1972, which were dropped, are somehow relevant, but Benghazi was “a long time ago”?

    Desperate.

If the Reps keep going on these scandals, I’m thinking at some point Dems who must stand for re-election in 2014 will start to abandon Wormtongue’s ship en masse.

  3. Government isn’t there to be trusted. I think. They are to be watched at all times, esp. at night.

You can have the day watch, I’ll take the night. What happens at night? Oh, right, Benghazi.
