Seventeen “years with no global warming and recent very cold winters is a troubling trend, which if it continues will result in serious problems for humanity. This will be especially true if the current obsession with global warming continues, leaving the public unprepared for cold weather events.
“Of particular concern are the warnings from solar scientists that over the next three decades, we are headed toward significant global cooling as the sun weakens into a grand minimum.”
So, instead of relying on our hapless bureaucrats and corrupt political leadership—who want to close coal-fired power plants to stop the global warming that’s already stopped on its own—it’s time for “the public” to get its own act together: plan on colder winters and adjust accordingly.

Brr…. this one winter is enough for me.
Time to get some storm windows, maybe? Or at least insulation. Or lay in a supply of quilts and mittens.

Okay, here’s the deal: Obama will finally approve the XL Keystone pipeline, but the Canadian petroleum will be diverted to provide free, federally subsidized heating oil to the [Democrat-voting] states in the North. Taxpayers will have to pay a hugely inflated price for Obama’s largesse due to the carbon tax. Only unionized workers will be able to work on the project. Everybody benefits. (Well, the right people will benefit, but that’s what counts.)
Doesn’t crude have to be processed to become heating oil? In which case it would still go to Texas refineries. So at least we’d benefit.
We turned our AC on yesterday…
Ah. We turned the central heat way down, but no AC yet, except in the car. I did that yesterday.
