“Tensions continue to rise in Connecticut, as the home addresses of the legislators who voted for the [“assault” weapons] ban have been posted on numerous web sites and forums. Many of the legislators are now calling for police protective details, regarding the publication of their home addresses as a threat to their safety.”
This could become a “teaching moment” for pols elsewhere with the same plans to please their anti-gun supporters by disregarding the Constitution.

Activists scream and gnash teeth on both sides to get the sound byte that assuages a perilous ego but the silent will of the people is what is heard. So what happens when the line in the sand is drawn? Civil disobedience and the silent pushback heard most loudly in the Halls of the Politicos. Even the ‘jackbooted thugs’ have had enough:

And who would want to live in an overtaxed, over regulated state with no jobs anyway? Let the last Free Thinker douse the lights before he heads south.

regarding the publication of their home addresses as a threat to their safety.”
Aren’t some of these same legislators that have no problem with the government spying on everyone else? That push if you are in public you have no expectation of privacy…..and if you aren’t doing anything wrong you have nothing to fear?
What’s that word I’m looking for: irony? No
Schadenfreude – yeah….welcome to our world legislators
I truly hope they don’t all head south. 😉
Don’t “the people have a right to know?”
Well, it wasn’t a very nice act, I mean publishing the addresses. e-mail would have been sufficient. But I understand the underlying sentiment.
There have been numerous previous examples of Lefties putting home addresses of people they despise on the Web. Spike Lee did it to an elderly couple, mistaking them for George Zimmerman, if I remember correctly. What goes around truly comes around. It is the new tactic of the aggrieved.
