Gunfight at the Nissan corral

A Minnesota fugitive managed to shoot dead two Corpus Christi bounty hunters as they killed him at a Greenville Nissan dealership Tuesday evening, according to FoxNews.

It was the most excitement in Greenville, about 50 miles northeast of Dallas, in many a year. The Texas Association of Licensed Investigators will now have some explaining to do as one of the dead bounty hunters, Fidel Garcia, was a board member. Like, why wasn’t he a better shot?

  1. Shooting targets ain’t the same as shooting someone who is shooting at you, too. I mean, it helps, a bunch, but it just isn’t the same.

  2. Yes, I’ve had the experience, and pulling trigger on a rifle at the ready is a lot quicker than pulling a pistol out of a holster. But they should have known what to expect and been ready to shoot and to take him down with the first shot. He killed both of them, after all, even as they killed him.

From what I could see in the video, they made the mistake of closing physically with him and trying to disarm him. Once they pulled and he dropped his weapon they should have got him away from that weapon (shooting him if he even blinks wrong). Which is all fine and dandy to say from my keyboard.
