The problem of gasoline

Our neighborhood stations have been out for several days and me with only a quarter of a tank. This morning I filled up to three-quarters at a convenience store with Texaco pumps—limit $20, in cash.

That’s through gas buddy dot com after plugging in our area code and getting the news of which stations have fuel and which don’t. Very helpful and, so far, very accurate. Yesterday I walked to HEB which is about a mile away. ‘Bout wore me out. But I’ll do it again if I have to.

This is due to a major refinery being out from Harvey in Port Arthur. The snooze says it’s a problem of hoarding by some making it tough for all. Could be. Mrs. Charm’s mother in Fort Worth says the problem is there, too, with people running out of gas on the freeways. Long gas lines and higher prices. I didn’t notice the price, so glad to get some.
