“Today, Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA), joined by Congressman Al Green (D-TX), introduced an Article of Impeachment (H. Res. 438) against President Donald J. Trump for High Crimes and Misdemeanors. The Article is based on Article 1, dealing with “Obstruction of Justice,” which was passed by the Judiciary Committee on a bipartisan vote on July 27, 1974, regarding Richard M. Nixon. Sherman circulated a draft Article on June 12, 2017, and has been conferring with colleagues and legal experts from around the country since then.”
Despite a month in the planning, Sherman was only able to get one co-sponsor, Alexander “Al” Green, D-Houston, a former NAACP leader, who has been accused of sexual assault and (oh, so forgetful) failing to report $300,000 in campaign contributions.
Or, Trump could fire himself, due to his son’s interest in colluding with the Kremlin. Or something.

Treadmilling at the J this morning I watched (and read in the text box) Fareed Zakaria on CNN doing a four-part interview/discussion on why Trump was a failure at the G20 conference.
Well three of his guests thought Trump was a failure. The fourth one, Elliot Abrams, thought he was a success. But Abrams was overruled, 3-1, and sat there with a tired grin as the others pounded him verbally.
Three to one. That tells you all you need to know about why CNN is fake news. It’s not even news. It’s a liberal Democrat echo chamber.

Is being battered by the usual suspects—CNN, MSNBC, The Atlantic, etc.
So it’s nice to see praise from one university professor, in Chicago:
“In the best statement yet of his foreign policy, Trump showed a clear-eyed recognition of the threats from Russia and radical Islam, promised continued U.S. engagement in Europe, offered to support Poland against Moscow, and wrapped it all in a full-throated defense of Western civilization and its achievements.”
Trump: “We write symphonies.” Racist, muttered The Atlantic.

UPDATE: Kurt Schlichter weighs in: “The immigrants and refugees get it. Which way are they always headed? North, to the comparative paradise of the Western world, or south, to the hellscape of the Third World? That’s a gimme.”

Afterall, Bronco Bama just the other day warned Americans not to act too patriotic. Bad taste, you know. Makes the Euros, overwhelmed with belligerent Muslim immigrants, feel inferior.
Steven Hayward, of the Power Line blog, gets it: “My favorite indictment against King George III in the Declaration of Independence is this short passage that applies more fully today than in 1776: ‘He has erected a Multitude of new Offices, and sent hither Swarms of Officers to harrass our People, and eat out their Substance.'” Sounds familiar, don’t it?
Celebrate, you say. Whatever for? Well, there’s this from Trump’s new EPA chief Scott Pruitt: “EPA Chief moves to rollback over 30 environmental regulations in record time.” That’s the headline from cBS, which has a copy-editing mistake. Should be “more than 30.” We’ll skip the story which is not flattering for Trump or Pruitt. But that’s fake news for you. They’d have sided with King George III.
Not the white guys who gathered in Philadelphia to sign the declaration. So light a sparkler, eat some watermelon, or a hot dog. Or just keep an ear out for the illegal bottle rockets that will get fired in our neighborhood tonight. There’s still hope for independence.

Following South Korean President Moon’s visit to the White House, gues who’s visiting him in Seoul?
None other than Bronco Bama his own self. This makes the third time he’s visited a foreign leader just before or just after President Trump did. Creepy little mother he is.
