Biden’s year summarized

No one among the thousands who stormed the Capitol a year ago today has been charged with insurrection or treason, only trespassing, yet the Dims keep prattling on about an attempted coup as heinous as Pearl Harbor. Even Lyin’ Biden got into the act, such that former President Trump fired back in a neat summary of Pedo Joe’s first year in office:

“Our Country no longer has Borders, has totally and completely lost control of Covid (record numbers!), is no longer Energy Independent, Inflation is rampant, our Military is in chaos, and our exit, or surrender, from Afghanistan was perhaps the most embarrassing day in the long and distinguished history of the United States—and so much more,” Trump continued.

And Slippery Joe still has three more years to further f*** things up.

Xavier presents as a soldier

Xavier, my spirit guide, appeared to a psychic-medium in a between-lives regression for me as a soldier in a toga-like outfit and carrying a spear. She saw him, I didn’t, as the regression didn’t work very well, but the more I think about it the more appropriate it feels. I dubbed him a member of the ancient phalanx and that still feels right.

Sometimes guides appear as children, in order not to frighten anyone. I saw Xavier once before, not as a child, but as an adult with shoulder-length black hair and a black goatee. Only his eyes were obscured, making me wonder if he was Asian, rather than the Hispanic his name suggests.

Webb telescope readied

Radio-computer commands to the telescope, about 600,000 miles from earth, are readying it for exploration of the universe.

Working age deaths up 40%

“So if it’s true that we’re seeing an unprecedented 40% spike in deaths among working-age Americans [age 18-64], don’t be surprised if those people died or took their own lives because their own government and media scared them out of [hospital and doctor visits and] taking care of themselves.”

First freezing night

Very appropriate, this freeze coming upon us on Jan. 2, 2022. Been much too warm for too long so far this winter. It’s 33 degrees now, at 2:30 a.m., but heading below freezing according to the forecast. Can already feel the chill seeping through the condo’s exterior walls.

UPDATE: The low was 24 degrees, hard freeze territory but didn’t stay there long enough for it.

Station Eleven TV

Very glad I took time to read the reviews before buying into HBO so I could watch the new TV movie about Station Eleven. About, I say, because the reviews make it plain that the novel has been adapted. Not adhered to. Can’t say I care to find out just how adapted. I was hoping for a retelling in visuals. No such luck.
