Lebanon (Iran) is on the UN security council

WTF? The country that Iranian-client Hezbollah rules as a terror state gets to make security decisions, such as refusing to condemn the cross-Sinai murders and woundings of Israelis until and unless the condemnation includes Israel.

For fighting back, presumably.

No surprise, there. Hez already had declared the attack “heroic.” I always thought the UN was worthless. Now I know it is. It used to pretend to do things. Now it no longer has to pretend. It can just ignore what doesn’t concern Iran and the world’s other dictators—and religious terrorists like Hezbollah.

Making fun of Hez

In New York City. In a new Adam Sandler movie that treats Israelis sympathetically. What a concept. With such immortal lines as this one: "We’ve been fighting for 2,000 years–it can’t be much longer." I’m not going to break down and cross the sticky floors of a local movie house, but I will rent the DVD.

Israel’s struggle with media bias

Israel shot itself in the foot in several ways last summer when it responded to a Hez provocation by going to war in Lebanon. But the MSM did the rest, becoming a propaganda organ for Hez, according to a new Harvard study showing how…

"…the trajectory of the media [shifted] from objective observer to fiery advocate, becoming in fact a weapon of modern warfare. The paper also shows how an open society, Israel, is victimized by its own openness and how a closed sect, Hezbollah, can retain almost total control of the daily message of journalism and propaganda."

This is something new. Almost in the "when pigs fly" category.

Panic in Lebanon

The "poisoned" green balloons of death, according to Hezbollah. A benign newspaper promotional gimmick which drifted on the wind into southern Lebanon, according to the Israelis. But the moonbats and their terrorist pals will never believe that. Quick, someone call Jimmy Carter!

Cutting through the propaganda

"Putting his political future on the line," reports the Jerusalem Post (which offers a transcript in Word format), "British Prime Minister Tony Blair came out with all his might against radical Islam during an address on Tuesday before the Los Angeles World Affairs Council.

"In his speech, Blair called for a ‘complete renaissance’ on foreign policy and unequivocaly stood by Israel: "The purpose of the provocation that began the conflict in Lebanon was clear. It was to create chaos and to provoke retaliation by Israel that would lead to Arab and Muslim opinion being inflamed, not against those who started the aggression but against those who responded to it."

Not unusual for Blair, whose courage knows no bounds, but odd considering that the British government’s BBC is putting its resources at Hez’s disposal while ignoring the rockets falling on the Israeli homefront.

"The BBC world service…has come to sound like a virtual propaganda tool for Hezbollah."

At any rate, these are looney tunes days at the Beeb: "The BBC has been urged to pull a ‘sick’ new comedy show which features spoof news reports of Tony Blair being assassinated and a 9/11-style video of terrorists crashing an airliner into the Houses of Parliament."
