When Mrs Roosevelt carried a piece

I can’t vouch for the authenticity of this “State of New York, County of Duchess, License to Carry Pistol is Hereby Granted” to Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt on Aug. 5, 1957, but it sure looks like the real thing.

Pity it does’t say what kind of iron it was, a .22 “ladies gun” or a full hog 1911 .45 caliber semiauto. Probably the former.

Since Wormtongue seems to identify with her then late husband (to the point of stealing one of his campaign slogans, i.e. Forward) I wonder whether he knows of her carry permit and has given any thought to the hypocrisy of his continued pursuit of new gun control laws.

Naw. At the very most, ol’ worm would only concede that the elite (and, in particular, the Democrat elite) certainly should have and should exercise rights not granted to the little people—who only deserve to be targeted by the Democrat’s IRS.

Lady with a gun

The woman who shot down the wouldbe mass murderer Sunday at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs is being described by the MSM, rather clumsily, as a "volunteer security guard," whatever that is. In her case it’s a church member licensed to carry, obviously. And about time one of these wise guys was gunned down by a fast-acting, armed citizen. Leave it to the media to obscure any truth it doesn’t like to confront. Good shootin’, hon.
