bluebonnets2009This is a snap from last year by friend Chris White who lives out near Washington-on-the-Brazos, It’s a small preview of what’s expected in a week or so along most Texas highways. Winter’s slosh and splash, after several years of dusty drought, is expected to raise anew our beloved blue bonanza.

    Yes, bluebonnet is impossible to beat. Although as far as variety is concerned, we had a mean spring this year. Details to follow.

    Thanks, indeed, for the photos of the flowers. I put up one from the Angels Forest, which I gather is near Jerusalem. Few enough hits come up for it on Google. Mrs. C. and I are going out to the Hill Country this coming weekend and should have lots of flower pictures ourselves when we return.
