An old Army buddy, Russell Wheat, who is retired in Canyon Lake, a resort area near San Antonio, is a Longhorns alum and football fan. He predicts the outcome in about 24 hours will be Texas 28 and Ohio State 24.
Russ says tOSU is a good team, but Texas is better; the OSU defense is weak and the Texas team is faster. This is the same score he predicted before last year’s first game between Texas and Ohio State–along with some Austin sportwriters–although the actual score was a little less: Texas 25 and Ohio State 22. On the other hand, Russ thought Texas would lose the Rose Bowl back in January, and was pleasantly surprised when they did not.
Texas 28, Ohio State 24. Will it be the heart-stopper last year’s game was? We shall certainly see ere long.
