Either the Aggies are time-challenged, or the local daily got the parade time wrong. We found a place to park and hustled to 7th and Congress Avenue just in time to see the tail-end of the parade–the shovel section marching behind the Parsons Mounted Cavalry. It was only 8:20 a.m. They weren’t even supposed to start until 8:30. So, no photo. Bigger crowd than usual. Ninety minutes to game time.
UPDATE The joke is on me. The daily said it was at 8. I misread it, probably having a senior moment without realizing it. That’s the way they work. That’s also the way blogs work, making snap judgements, which I try not to do with the news. Oh, well. The Ags won the game. Bless ’em. They deserved it.
