Relief ahead

The rains Friday cleared a lot of the cedar pollen out of the air (despite today’s moderate reading via KVUE above), and the rains forecast for this week, starting Monday, should complete the process. I’m still sneezing occasionally, possibly from pollen drawn into the rancho’s heating system. Normal enough. Another week should do it. Then it’s adios cedar fever for another year. Good riddance.

  1. Heating system?? I thought it was warm in Texas. The only heating we have in the Northeast Kingdom is a fireplace in the living room, a propane heater in the kitchen and a hole in the floor to let the heat from the wood buring furnace in the basement emit it’s heat into the dining room and it is plenty warm in here at the palace even though it is only 10 degrees out doors. 2. Wow. No central heating? Well, I’ll be strapped. It was in the low 20s last night. I was worried the pool pump was going to seize up, it’s been running so long now in these recent freezing nights. But it didn’t. When the temp hit 40 this morning, I cut if off for the day.
