Not as pretty as the old Beetle. I owned two of them. But the new one’s promise of eighty mpg is a head-turner in itself. Now some will say that old or new the Beetle is unsafe at any speed because of the mess a full-sized car (let alone a full-sized SUV) hitting it would make of it. But I recall a couple in a Volvo who got creamed by a Beetle in the 1970s. The Beetle driver walked away. My friends spent three days in the hospital.
