Wow. It’s come to this already: bandwidth hogs to pay more at AT&T, Comcast, and Time-Warner.

    What I really hate in this story is the explanation:
    “All three companies say that placing caps on broadband use will ensure fair access for all users.”
    Oh boy – when the day comes when AT&T starts worrying about user’s fair rights…
    Just wait till they roll out a new generation of backbone network, then you shall see again “unlimited access only for $xxx”.

    I agree there is a air of sanctimony in their claims. Not being a bandwidth hog, I really don’t have to worry. But I’ll look forward to the new generation network.
