What I need is a primer on how to use Skype & one of those teensy Bluetooth earsets with a netbook in place of a cell phone. I keep hearing there’s a way. Free calls! I just don’t know how to jigger it.

    Nothing’s free, bubba. Well, except calling other Skypers. To call a real phone # you have to buy Skype credit. It’s pretty cheap, though.
    I kinda quit using it and just went with the cell phone & the unlimited plan.

    I have also tried the Skypeout (this is the name for that pre-paid account you have to open with Skype to call real phone numbers). But the international calls are so cheap nowadays that all the hassle with Skype seems like too much trouble.
