Who’s lying?

Is it the House Misspeaker Nancy Pelosi or the CIA, the gang that can’t ever seem to get its story straight? At this hour, Instapundit readers are voting Nancy. Alas, there is no category for both. Let the show trials begin!

  1. I bet CIA have a recording. Whether it’s a fake one we’ll never know, since CIA, most probably, don’t know themselves. The habit of lying about lying about lying is a professional malady.
As for the lady, she has a right to forget…

If she wants to be a lady, she has the right to forget. If she wants to be Speaker of the House, she does not. I suspect they are both lying, to one degree or another. She knows she is. But, as you say, if the CIA is lying, they may not know it. They have always seemed to me to be one of the least reliable of government agencies. And that’s saying a lot.

  3. In CIA case lack of reliability is not a drawback, rather a symptom of professionalism. Imagine a reliable spy – how long will he/she survive in that business?

  4. Oh, and I have seen a clip with Nancy P. talking about that story. She is gesticulating and mumbling too much for my taste. Guilty as heck, if you ask me.
