It’s always the conservatives who the liberal news and entertainment media portray as being repressive. But it’s usually the liberals who want to pass more laws to regulate more things to their liking. Hence the new Democrat FCC’s new venture, which is certain to eventually go well beyond this apparently benign first move. The Electronic Frontier Foundation rightly fears a future power grab.

THE TEXAS SCRIBBLER 
As by itself, the net neutrality rules don’t look oppressive in any way, just the opposite. But it’s a technicality, since it’s about the carriers. It is left to see what FCC will invent about content providers.
Net neutrality isn’t oppressive to us consumers, only to the ISPs. But without them what do we have? As for government, well, its history is clear. It doesn’t intrude in little ways for long.
