Horns’ loss vs Tide’s win

Funny thing about that game. Just about everywhere, except maybe in Bama itself, it’s liable to become known as the game Texas lost because its QB was lost, rather than the game that Alabama won because it’s an SEC powerhouse or whatever.

Or, as the local sportswriters call it: The Game That Might Have Been. It’s not entirely true that Bama won primarily because Texas lost its All-American QB after five plays, but it sure looked that way and a lot of people, including a lot of neutral observers, sure are going to remember it that way.

  1. At least they made a game of it,only other team I saw this season that seemed to have Bamas no. was Auburn, but those in state rivalries seem to bring out the best in underdogs. I was sorry to see McCoy get hurt, you are right,it will always taint the game result.

It probably isn’t fair, but I do think it will be that way. Ingram did succeed in getting through the Texas defense a time or two, especially in the late fourth quarter when it really mattered. Richardson got through now and then, also. And that forced-fumble on Gilbert, followed by the interception, sealed the deal for the Tide.

How’re your cows holding up in the cold weather?
