Great fun watching the live stream (archived video, actually) of the 90-foot-long trimaran races off Valencia, Spain. Giant boats with crews scurrying about like ants, as they fly down the course on one leeward hull or the other, even in light air. The USA team, BMW Oracle Racing, won the first race against a Swiss boat. More to come.

    By goddamn, I have tuned in every freaking day to see a race on that live feed, except today when I couldn’t. Eff me.

    Switzerland’s land-locked. I hope Ellison whips their ass.

    They beat ’em by twenty lengths or more today. I didn’t see the time. The archive video is pretty cool. Mostly aerials. From a helicopter, obviously.

    Probably because BMW sells more cars there than anywhere else.
