“Well, I’m sorry this whole thing happened, and I’m just hoping we can become good enough friends where he can give me my bullet back.”
We’ll leave it up to Scott, who posts Shaver’s picture atop his blog page, whether it’s true or not.

Hilarious. Billy Joe is truly one of a kind. At first I thought he was guilty as all get out, but after reading the testimony I think that he is not.
I love that man so much.
The most surprising thing in that article was reading Dick Deguerin’s name again.
Shaver has a very laconic kind of humor.
In that whole trial I never once figured out from the reporting where the bullet actually went in the victim’s face, or how he could still talk. All the reporters seemed to want to turn the trial into a celebrity story, instead. When it was over it did seem kind of stupid that Shaver was even prosecuted. Our tax money at work.
Hmm… I see that the old defense line “the man just needed killing” still works 😉
