There’s always been one in an election year. Something to cake one party with reeking mud, or clothe the other in radiant garments. And the surprise has never been less of a surprise than when the surprisers and the legacy media were working together. Which only happens, of course, when the surprisers are incumbent but threatened Democrats. So what, oh what, will it be?
