Nanny news: Disabling your cell phone

Speaking of the overpaid executive branch, the Democrats haven’t figured out the less-government push of the recent election yet. Now they want to disable your cell phone while you’re driving. What this amounts to is the classic bureaucratic mindset: Do what we want or we’ll force you to do it.

  1. Being who I am, and all, when I am driving, especially when I pass one of those “no cell phone use” signs – I have an overpowering urge to text someone.

And being the way I am, and all, I don’t have much success fighting overpowering urges.

  2. I know what you mean, those urges to violate nanny laws can be overwhelming at times.

  3. Yes, next thing you know they are going to make it a crime not to wear your seat belt!

  4. Won’t be long, David, before everything will be a crime. Except bowing to the superior wisdom of federal officials, of course. That will always be a virtue.
