Free-floating planets

This is a recurring nightmare of mine, though not so vivid that it was easy to figure out at first. Sounds awful. Icy, for sure, and dark. Yet, if the populace was far-enough advanced to have developed their own renewable heat sources, they might continue to thrive underground. Or so I imagine.

    Be sure to watch the slide show
    referred to at the bottom of it;
    I like to go through it in
    “manual” mode. I promise you’ll
    dig it.

      Thanks, Gerry. Nice post. I’ve seen the slide show before but not in a long while. Always a good reminder.

  4. Well, with central heating and enough fusion/fission reactors one could have some pretty good time on one of those. Move around, too, provided there is power enough.

    Of course, the ones they’re postulating are gas giants, but it seems a rocky world also might have come loose from its star and wandered off.
