Sure, his lawless regime is under fire, but I”m not letting it go to my head like J.D. is doing:
“…the death of a thousand cuts, where one tiny piece of damning information comes out at a time. The persistence of a very few investigating writers keeping the story simmering and slowly reaching a rolling boil…it’s spooky how it looks so much like Watergate.”
Except that the WaPo and the NYTimes led the charge on Watergate and the Democrat congress soon convened an impeachment investigation, on which Shillary, The Witch of Benghazi, did staff work, BTW.
Those newspapers will never dog the leader of the Choom Gang (who already is denying everything) and the Republicans don’t have the balls to impeach him. No way, no how.
And, while everyone’s distracted by the scandals, Republican Rubio & Co. will pass the amnesty immigration bill which, among other things, will create a new national I.D. card complete with photo for us all. Your papers, please.
I can hardly wait for the partisan Democrat IRS to start enforcing Obamacare.
Land of the free? Depends on your politics, bud. Better watch how you vote.
UPDATE: Or, as PJMedia exec Roger L. Simon puts it:
“What we have now discovered about Barack Obama and Eric Holder’s America, if we didn’t already know it, is that any belief in a benign and decent government in this country is absolute horseshit. Liberalism has been revealed as a fascist joke.”

Pointing out the similarities in the process is not the same as predicting an identical end.

@ jdallen: “Those who do not learn from the past …”
I don’t believe that Tex can prophesy, but I take his point, which is no matter how bad it gets, a valid expectation is that Obama & Co (of which Eric Holder is a major stockholder) will simply circle the wagons & ride it out.
Nixon had the press against him in full-throated cry from the very beginning & still does. Nixon had senior members of his own party telling him that he no longer had their support & in fact threatened to move against him.
Clinton, however, could enjoy the benefits of fellatio in the Oval Office or anywhere else, shut down the government & blame it on Congress, deny welfare reform twice & then sign it when forced to do so & still take credit, commit perjury, obstruct justice, & still get away with it. He had his law license revoked for malfeasance, but so what?
Do you see the NYTimes acting in tany different way in regard to Obama? Do you see Harry Reid or Barbara Boxer or Patty Murray or Dick Durbin or Tom Harkin or any major Democrat stepping down from the ramparts?
There will likely continue to be betrayed people, currently some in the press, who are really pissed off by their Obamassiah, but they can just get in line. Maybe their legs aren’t as tingly as before, but as long as the nanny state keeps pumping out the largesse of Other Peoples’ Money, nobody is going anywhere.
Is that a prediction? No, but it’s pretty damned likely.
You certainly didn’t predict an identical end, JD. You just noted the similarities and seemed to be hoping against hope. And I couldn’t resist doing my own take on it.
The one glimmer of possibility so far is the idea that Holder & Co. collected the phone records of congressmen as well as reporters: http://tinyurl.com/bnva5xf
But it’s only a glimmer so far. Otherwise, President Choom can go on lying and partying.
It is amazing what Slick Willie got away with and still gets away with. The system is broken from the top to the bottom, but it keeps on growing, and taxing and regulating.
Time for some real libertarian to step in, I would say.
So long as it’s not Ron or Rand.
(Well, almost a year later, I have changed my mind about Rand. He’s not a dingbat like daddy. But I would still prefer Ted Cruz. We are more likely to get Jeb Bush and watch him lose to the Witch of Benghazi.)
