Ten days vs 25 years

Ken Anderson lost his law license and is pretty well disgraced in Central Texas now. But 10 days in jail for prosecutorial misconduct (hiding exculpatory evidence in a murder trial) is insulting to his victim Michael Morton who has spent 25 years in prison.

If the judge can’t bring himself to slap a fellow member of the “justice” system elite by handing Anderson a sentence that matches Morton’s, at least Anderson should be made to pay restitution to Morton, if it takes the rest of Anderson’s life.

  1. No criminal charge. Yeah, that’s awful easy, I dare say. And if you want an uneducated guess – they should look really close at all his cases…

  2. Could be the judge has sent them a message with his ten-days-in-jail sentence to desist from further exposing of the system’s faults.

  3. Any lawyer worth his salt will be looking at past cases of Mr Anderson, esq.

As for the consequences, well, accountability is for the little people.

  4. I’m sure his career would make for some spectacular lawsuits, except that with his disgrace and disbarring, he’s probably not going to be worth much in the near future.
