I rather enjoy them. About time someone reminded us of the Big Talker’s genuine history of predation now that his wife is threatening to give him a third term. The Dems, of course, are resentful, but Ann Althouse takes the high road on Rand’s probable reasons:
“1. He believes in the principle of workplace equality and is dismayed at how predatory individuals seeking personal sexual pleasure have disrupted the meritocracy that should prevail.
“2. Someone on the Republican side needs to be able to counter the ‘war on women’ propaganda of the Democrats, and no one else seems to have the guts or skill to do it properly.
“3. He dislikes the idea that the distinction of first female President should go to a woman who leveraged her power through a male who she knew was taking advantage of women.
“4. He knows that if the Democrats had material like this to use against a Republican candidate, they would have no mercy.”
Works for me. And I agree with one of Ann’s commenters that Rand should get the GOP nomination in 2016. If Ted Cruz doesn’t. Not that I expect either will.
Via Althouse.

Yeah. 2016 promises to be an interesting year.
Are you taking bets on the eventual nominee? I have been thinking it would be the New Jersey gov, but Mitt looks to be moving on up, and even Bush III is a possibility. There is no way in hell anyone other than the big money boys, the “old guard” “mainstream” RINOs will let anyone else in.
I may have to throw my vote away again, and vote libertarian.
No bets, but I agree RINOs like McCain and Romney are likely to call the tune. As for voting, as I said (more or less) in 2012, I would vote for a dead armadillo in the middle of the road before I’d vote for the party of Wormtongue, the Lizard Queen, Pelosi and Reid.
