“We don’t understand climate”

It’s so refreshing to find a scientist who is willing to speak the truth, in the face of his nattering peers. Particularly a physicist, the hardest of all the hard sciences, and, of course, it would be Freeman Dyson:

“Generally speaking, I’m much more of a conformist, but it happens I have strong views about climate because I think the majority is badly wrong, and you have to make sure if the majority is saying something that they’re not talking nonsense.”

  1. That’s a tall order. Good luck with that. Nothing is more stubborn or arrogant than an idiot with credentials.

  2. Dyson never got a PhD. His genius was enough to carry him. He calls doctorates no more than a union card but admits he never was successful in talking them down.

  3. The majority is never wrong, if you believe the Marxists. Of course, Marxists have their ways to persuade the majority.

  4. The majority is almost always wrong, according to the Founders who wrote in the Constitution all kinds of safeguards against “the tyranny of the majority.” Most of which the current majority is regularly ignoring.
