Federal snipers?

At the Bureau of Land Management, it seems, according to PowerLIneBlog, which employed them in the recent ranch standoff:

“The Bureau of Land Management has announced that in view of the risk of violence, it is withdrawing its forces, which include snipers, from the area. (How many federal agencies employ snipers, anyway? Too many, it is safe to say.) The county sheriff negotiated the terms of the federal government’s surrender with Cliven Bundy.”

This is interesting, too:

It still isn’t clear what the crisis was all about. Rumor has it that Reid wants the land for a giant solar farm that would be supplied by a Chinese company and, presumably, subsidized by the federal government. Reid’s son is apparently a participant in the deal.”

When it comes to corruption these days, the Democrats have few competitors. Likewise the feds and violence. Even without knowing exactly what’s behind this story, as PLB says, it’s easy to take Bundy’s side. Hey, Barry, call off your dogs!

  1. They’ll be back and better prepared. They have to come back, to admit defeat risks it all collapsing in on them.

  2. They have been so smug in thinking they got everything under control, but it’s odd unforeseen thing (cow war in Nevada, self immolation of a fruit in Tunis) that always seems to get them.

  3. should read “they have got, the odd unforeseen things, and fruit vendor”. Had too much at the Ziggurat today.

  4. Seems certain if they do come back there’ll be even more cowboys and sign wavers to greet them. I hope it is all collapsing around them. They presume too much.

  5. I do believe each camp has some bad guys and since MSM is ‘overlooking’ it as a news item, I have to rely on ALTnews which is going to slant things in Bundy’s favor. All well and good.

The problem, the HUGE problem is our GOV cannot suspend the Constitution/Bill of Rights at will. Yet they do and we overlook the Stasi encroachments – most of the time – because we are a nation of good little slaves. It did my heart good to see the Patriots come out and say ‘not this time.’
