Abortion Barbie, the great blonde hope of the Texas Democrat party (not to mention the White House’s secret weapon to turn Texas blue, ho, ho), lost big time in the Rio Grande Valley. Too many Hispanics didn’t vote for Wendy.
Could be too many of them dislike abortion and have no interest in promoting someone who not only promotes but symbolizes it. But there was another, quite obvious reason: Democrat voter turnout statewide was down (yep, down) twenty percent from four years ago.
If your own team can’t get excited, Wendy, you’re in deep doo-doo.

Well, her support for late abortion will turn off a saint…
I picked up the phone the other evening and it was a campaign call from her gang. They asked to speak to my wife, who was in the room with me. I asked what the call was in reference to, and the guy admitted it was the Davis campaign. “Honey, do you want to talk to the Wendy Davis people?”
Click.
Barry himself supports late-term abortion. He doesn’t talk about it now, but he voted against any attempt to limit it when he was an Illinois state rep. These people really ought to know better. Murder is murder, whatever the excuse may be.
Oh, count me as not surprised. A pol will rent out his mom if expedient…
I confess to a great degree of anticipatory schadenfreude as it concerns Davis’ election results.
It was understood before that she had/has no chance to be governor, but discovering that the all-important Hispanic vote is not with her or her party is a definite bonus.
