Election is IQ test for America

It’s an IQ test for all of us. If we can’t turn out for Trump, in enough numbers to overcome the vote fraud the Dems already are cranking up in Indiana, Illinois and Virginia, then we’ll wind up with more of the same of everything we have now—from a terrible economy with high unemployment, low wages and a crumbling middle class to a foreign policy so wimpy that we’re liable to be assaulted by North Korea before the Russians get around to it.

Not to mention sliding closer and closer to being a third-world country.

Why the Obama Economy Sucks

It’s not just the taxes that could have been lowered to give the poor economy a boost. It’s the constant pressure on business to spend its money elsewhere than on employment.

“In sum, consider President Obama‘s overall regulatory record: 624 major rules (as of this writing) and on track to approach 650 major regulations, 31 percent more than his predecessor. Regulators have added more than $760 billion in net costs since 2010, with 485 million in net paperwork burden hours….”

Progressives against progress

Austin’s leftists voted Uber out of business. In Massachusetts, they’re going to tax them out of business. While using the taxes to support the old, unpopular taxi industry.

How progressive!

Trump gets it

“Tonight, I am asking for the vote of every African-American citizen in this country who wants a better future. The inner cities of our country have been run by the Democratic Party for 50 years.  Their policies have produced only poverty, joblessness, failing schools, and broken homes. It is time to hold Democratic Politicians accountable for what they have done to these communities.  It is time to hold failed leaders accountable for their results, not just their empty words.”

Pyroceram versus stoneware

Globalization has changed many a once-famous American brand that is now made in China or Malaysia or even Vietnam to something less than its former grandeur. Cheaper, yes, but often not as good.

Corning Ware, however, took its hit back in the late ’90s when the company was bought out and its famous pyroceram cookware (made of the same stuff as rocket nosecones, the old ads said) was soon replaced with cheaper, and less resilient, stoneware. And made in China.

I discovered all this the other day when I dropped one of Mrs. Charm’s Corning Ware pyroceram casserole dishes taking it out of the dishwasher. It broke in half. Replacing it I soon discovered isn’t impossible but it takes more than a quick trip to the store. I went to three before giving up. All they had was the stoneware.

Old pyroceram Corning Ware is still sold, but only mainly in used versions. Amazon has them at new prices. The material is famous for not absorbing anything, hence a used casserole dish doesn’t carry any trace of the food that’s ever been cooked in it. Plus it can be swiftly moved from oven to freezer (or vice-versa) without coming apart—stoneware does absorb and it can’t stand rapid temperature changes.

If you have trouble believing that or anything else on this arcane subject, the above link is a great place to start. And the cooking blog below provides further illumination:

UPDATE:  Corningware still sells the pyroceram product but in limited sizes.

We. Don’t. Care.

Ignore the FUD (Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt) that the dominant Democrat news media and the ruling class of both parties specialize in and currently are heaping on Trump at every opportunity. Repeat the three power words as a mantra, as a prayer:

We. Don’t. Care.

They only want to divert attention from their favorite: “… a proven criminal, traitor, and Marxist fanatic who despises America and would destroy it, and its constitution, forever, if she can. We won’t let her do that.”

Fear not. Trump already has ’em on the run. They are writhing, frothing…

Opec hates gays

I’ve never been a gay-worrier, much less a gay hater. If they want to marry in churches or synagogues and they can find one that will do it, it’s all the same to me. Likewise getting a wedding cake, tho I don’t want bakers to be unable to refuse.

And these ads for Canadian oil are brilliant. This hot lesbian print ad apparently has succumbed to the usual PC b.s. but the video one about males seems to be still running. About time someone hit back at the muzzies and their lethal bigotry.
