Marijuana Tourism

“Marijuana tourism is huge in Colorado, whether your trip includes tours, accommodations or other related cannabis experiences…Colorado marijuana law allows hotels and private rental properties the ability to decide whether or not to allow guests to consume marijuana on premises.”

Or you could try a “bud and breakfast.”

Pretty cool.

It’s Trump’s economy

Not Bronco Bama’s, no matter what he says, and you vote for the Dimocrats at your peril.

Only if you want it all to collapse, as they vote to raise corporate taxes and restore the business-strangling regulations Trump and the Republican Congress have eliminated.

“His approving of the stalled pipelines, his more coal friendly policies, his more oil & gas friendly policies, have all been real boosts to the economy. The big one though – the tax breaks and more importantly the portions of the laws that have dealt with repatriating the trillions of dollars companies had overseas and reinvesting those dollars here – was an act of Congress cheered on by the president (that would not have been enacted under Obama or Hillary). So, it is not like the president has no effect.”

Even fixed-income baby boomers would suffer if the Dims get back Congress with lower 401K payments as the stock market retrenches. Some of that could happen by 2020 anyway, or so the establishment (that’s fought Trump all along) believes. It will happen without doubt if the Dims get the House and Senate back on Nov. 6

Colonoscopy

Finished yesterday my sixth or seventh colonoscopy. Hard to remember as they’ve been coming at five-year intervals. This was the easiest by far, thanks to HyGieaCare, which obviates the necessity of drinking even 12 ounces (with lots of water) of awful, nauseating stuff I can only call motor oil.

An all-around shitty subject this, but a worthwhile alert if you have a first-degree relative whose death was due to or preceded by colon cancer. In my case they were my father and his father. If so, see a gastroenterologist and get on with it.

Five Four polyps were found this time, versus six last time (in 2013), but it’ll be a week or so until I find out if any of them were malignant. Never have found one such so don’t know what the protocol would be. Hope not to find out.

UPDATE: No cancer but two of the four were pre-cancerous so the doc has me down for another test in 2020—two-year interval instead of five.

Felonia’s exhortation

Bloodthirsty liberals

Nobody character actor James Cromwell is the latest liberal to warn of “blood in the streets” if Democrats don’t win the midterm elections in seven days.

“If we don’t stop [President Trump] now, then we will have a revolution for real. Then there will be blood in the streets.”

Liberal blood, most likely. They forget that we deplorables have the guns and know how to use them. A liberal revolution wouldn’t last a week.

Gab CEO responds

Gab CEO Andrew Torba responds on NPR to the censorship of his site and its 800,000 users (of which I am one) by the Silicon Valley oligarchy. Here’s the full interview of 16 plus minutes which NPR is very unlikely to use in full.

He makes valid points: Gab had like 4 minutes from an ambiguous post Bowers made about “going in” until he murdered the synagogue congregants (I see no reason to call him a suspect); Bowers also had a presence on Facebook and on Twitter but they’ve not been called “a hate megaphone” of “far-right extremists” nor taken down and banned for it; Gab is working with law enforcement to help prosecute Bowers, not stalling them like the big social media platforms have done in the past.

Torba, who has a connection to Austin (according to a business profile on Bloomberg), says he’s now receiving death threats from the usual suspects. He makes another interesting point: that it’s only been since Trump won the presidency that conservatives on platforms like Twitter and Facebook have been censored, which led to the creation of Gab.

UPDATE:  Gab expects to be back online by the weekend, three days from now.
