Muckdogs recover

Mr. Boy increased his RBI total by two, as the Muckdogs beat the Sidewinders 16 to 13. The dogs have got an 8-2 season now, with the games coming at two or more a week. Next one is Thursday.

Muckdogs fall

Mr. Boy’s little league team took its second loss in eight games today, falling 13 to 12 to the Thunder. Mr. B., however, continued his hitting streak with three, each of them an RBI. He himself was stranded on third all three times. He was bummed at the loss, but the first snowcone of the season helped.

Muckdogs still roll on

Another win for the Muckdogs, beating the Rockhounds 29-12. Mr. B. had two good hits and two good defensive plays in right field, one of them an outstanding save of what could have been a Rockhound home run. So now we wait to see where the Muckdogs stand in the rankings, having dethroned No. 1.

Muckdogs roll on

Muckdogs beat the Express 18 to 14 on a chilly day with a cold wind. Mr. B. had two hits and a good defensive out at third base. But tomorrow’s the big one, playing the No. 1 Rockhounds.

Muckdogs roll

Mr. Boy got three hits and two runs in this afternoon’s 25-13 victory over the Rivercats. The Muckdogs are 5-1 for the season now, but have two more games this weekend–one tomorrow and one on Sunday. Mr. B.’s three hits were a double and two singles, and he drove in runs each time. But if the other team had been good at fielding, he’d likely have been out on the singles. The Rivercats just turned out to be worse hitters than the Muckdogs. Neither shined on the field. They have progressed a little. I no longer see them run for cover when a pop fly is falling their way. Now they tend to stick their gloves out, while cringing off to one side. Only rarely, of course, the ball falls in the glove. But these are 7 and 8 year olds.

Lugnuts crushed

The Muckdogs continued their roll today, beating the Lugnuts 25 to 3. Mr. B. had four good hits that drove in runs. Muckdogs are 4-1 for the season. Much better than his Little League team last year, which lost most of its games.

Game ball

Mr. Boy got the game ball after his Muckdogs beat the Mudcats 15 to 12. He was pleased, of course. The coach said it was for his good hitting, all three big ones. The Muckdogs are now 3-1 for the Little League season.
