The McCain campaign got right on this one in a hurry. Meanwhile, so have the Republicans in the House. It’s fair to say that, to a certain extent, both sides are obfuscating problems vs. solutions. But the price can’t come down very far without more supply. And no solution is close to being found.
UPDATE: Meanwhile, by Tuesday, oil had fallen to $118 a barrel. Analysts said four dollar a gallon gasoline was killing demand, and the price was responding accordingly.
