Barry speaks, the stock market craters

What could be easier to understand? The fellow is not inspiring now that he has the office. Even his polls are lackluster. Not that the Dumbocrats will care. It’s spend, spend, spend time for them. "Happy days are here again…"

Stock market record

Hope and change. Well, change, anyhow. January’s was the worst stock market performance in 113 years. I notice Barry’s dropped his hope routine. Maybe we’ll get lucky and he’ll remember to at least  talk it again, while Rome burns.

Buying stocks

It’s easy to be pessimistic about the stock market, watching it fall and fall even farther these days. But it’s smarter just to watch it go down in the expectation of discovering when it finally finds the bottom of the current descent. That will be the time to buy good stocks at low prices undreamt of in a lifetime. For one thing is pretty certain: the market will go back up again, and losers now could be gainers in the future. The only question is when to start buying again?

ADDENDUM: Meanwhile, as the Seablogger advises: "Be patient. Hold fast."

UPDATE:  Some obviously were buying in the historic, Oct. 13 rally. Remains to be seen if this is the end of the free-fall.

Hold on to your Confederate money, etc.

The Seablogger, whose income has long been derived from his stock market investments, urges the rest of us, whose current income may be derived from 401K retirement accounts, not to panic this week as Wall Street goes wacko. "Keep calm, don’t throw good money after bad, or vice versa."
