As long as the rockets are only falling in Israel, the MSM isn’t too concerned. It’s when Israel fights back that the criticism begins:
"This is ridiculous. If there were no rockets raining on us the IDF wouldn’t have anything to do there. I don’t like the way we are portrayed. We don’t want this war. They are dragging us in. What can we do? There are rockets raining on us daily. But in the media we look like the aggressors."
MORE: What can you do in the fifteen seconds it takes a rocket to fly the one mile from Gaza to Sderot? Via Treppenwitz. And one more. No, my concern is not for the Palestinians. Let them first stop their attacks, then we’ll talk about concern. The fact is, they never have.

Yeah, I don’t get it. Well, I’m afraid I do, because I don’t want to.
It could be that papers, etc., are bending over backward to try and be objective, so much so that they are the other way. Well. It could be.
It could be that, like in sports, they don’t see the initial foul and the retaliation draws the flag. It could be.
I hope it’s something like that. Otherwise, I’m afraid someone’s going to be displeased.
Objectivity ain’t in it. It’s a little game they play, which they like to call proportionality. In other words, more casualties in Gaza from the retaliatory strikes, means more sympathy for Gaza.
Israeli towns like Sderot have been shelled and rocketed for a year now. But because the casualties have “been few,” including an 8-year-old last month who lost his leg, the Israelis are supposed to go on taking it rather than striking back. I’m frankly amazed at the Israeli restraint. To be truly “proportionate,” they should fire 2,500 artillery rounds randomly at civilian targets in Gaza.
Imagine these rockets falling on McAllen, fired from inside Mexico. Would Texas put up with it?
Depends on the gov we have at the time.
Bill White – I’m not too sure.
“Israeli towns like Sderot have been shelled and rocketed for a year now.”
Beg pardon, but it is seven years by now. Doesn’t the time fly.
Today there is a lovely discussion on the wireless of a possible exchange: one artillery round targeting the launch area for every launched Qassam.
Could work, if you ask me.
Some of the info (not full) on the Qassams here:

I should have said daily for a year. I think it was sporadic before. Counter-battery sounds good. They need to get to it.
