Look like the Klan, don’t they? But, hey, it’s okay. They’re with the Religion of Peace. That’s why Uncle Barry recently overrode congress to give them another $192 million of your tax money.
I doubt most American Christians have any idea what the World Council of Churches does from one year to the next. But many of those who do must be saddened, if not outraged, by the WCC’s recent return to the Middle Ages and its endorsement by the Presbyterian church.
“This understanding denies the connection between today’s Jews and Moses, Jeremiah and Isaiah. It marks a return to ‘replacement theology,’ the medieval view that the Church has replaced Israel in God’s plan and that all biblical references to Israel refer to the “new Israel”—that is, to Christians. For centuries, that view was the theological basis for denying rights to Jews in Church-dominated Europe.”
This time, of course, it’s intended to deny history, i.e., Israel’s claim to the land and its modern right to exist as a Jewish state. And it forms the basis for such things as financial divestment, and demands to end the checkpoints and tear down the barriers that keep out Palestinian suicide bombers.
Not that any of that will happen. It’s just a philosophical return to the bad old days, and blind to boot. Considering that the majority of the Palestinians all this allegedly is designed to help are Muslims, whose Imams have their own brand of “replacement theology.” Which applies to Christianity as well as Judaism.
No Palis hurt, no settlers involved, so no big Western media whoop-de-do. Just more babble about the two-state solution. How’s that for court-media cynicism?
“Yesterday a car carrying a husband and wife – Jewish residents of a Jordan Valley community inside the green line – came under fire from a passing car between Rimonim and Kochav HaShachar in the Binyamin region (located outside the green line).
“The husband (who was driving) was wounded by the gunfire and lost control of the car. His wife was injured in the subsequent roll-over/crash caused by attack.”
I’m paying more attention to these items, being just about thirty days away from visiting Israel. Altho I’m sure my host and guide, Mr. Goon, will not be taking me anywhere outside the green line.
UPDATE: When they do report on Israel, the increasingly irrelevant court media lies. Not that they didn’t before.
Military affairs analyst Ralph Peters’ take on Obamalot’s Israel policy:
“It’s become a credo of the left-wing that Israel is always the oppressor,” Peters continued, “and that the Palestinian terrorists are freedom fighters, etc. … Obama’s mother [was] extremely left, his university chums are on the left, he spent 20 years with the Rev. Wright – all of their doctrines say that the Palestinians are wonderful and that the Israelis are basically Nazis… I think that the President has gotten that by osmosis… This is our first anti-Israeli President; it’s bewildering and astonishing.”

UPDATE: Is it really a chip, or more evidence of a serious personality disorder? We’d better hope it’s no more than ignorant arrogance.
Our secretary of, ahem, state compares the Palestinian “culture of hate” with Israeli settlements in Samaria and Judea, as though the two were comparable. She also continues to call the East Jerusalem apartment buildings in a Jewish neighborhood near the Knesset “settlements.”
Which she knows they are not. All, apparently, to back up her obfuscating, prevaricating boss who is still trying to get the anti-Jewish Iranian mullahs to talk to him. Give it a rest, Shrillary. You make Biden look smart.
Although, when you think about it, where else could you find a more insane example of trying to balance the aims of the terrorists and their victims:
“Are both sides really teaching to hate? No, not at all. In this article, at least they are treated as being equal. In much of the media, especially outside the United States, Israel is being treated as the party responsible for all these problems. The truth, of course, is the exact opposite. When will the Western media have the courage and honesty to write that truth?”
When real courage and honesty are rewarded over political correctness.

Who’s the most pathetic when it comes to the history of Jewish Jerusalem? The Arabs and Persians who pretend Jews never had any claim to the city? Or Barry who is trying to push them into yet another land-for-peace deal with the untrustworthy Palestinians? Above, carved in marble in Rome, is the answer to both: the triumphal arch of Roman emperor Titus Flavius Vespasianus, celebrating the destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple by his armies in 67-70 C.E. Genocide was Rome’s response to the rebel Jews, just as it is today for the Muslims, and Barry’s whiny speeches can’t overcome the history he has either forgotten or never knew.
