Rangers sweep the All-Stars

Mr. Boy had to regretfully go to bed before the eighth inning, so he missed seeing the game drag on through fifteen innings and the Rangers’ Michael Young finally put it away, 4-3, with an RBI. Neat. After Hamilton’s record-breaking, homer-hitting performance the other night, Young’s ending the game for the AL’s twelfth victory in a row, kept the focus where we wanted it, on the Rangers. Now let their pitching improve (please, Lord) and may their second half of the season be as sweet!

  1. Great game. As a “retired” person, I stayed up for the entire game. Really great drama. Best of luck, tell Mr Boy that we are also rooting for the Rangers until they meet the Yankees or Red Sox. Eva & Joe

Me, too, though I got bored right before the end and came back to find the AL team celebrating. Fortunately, they replayed Young’s RBI. Mr. B. likes the Red Sox, when they’re not playing the Rangers, but I haven’t ever heard him say anything good about the Yankees.

  3. Eva worked with Derek Jeter’s grandfather in New Jersey before he passed away. Therefore, she has met most of the Yankees that were Derek’s teammates since he came up to the majors. Joe

I did notice that Jeter was the first one to hug Young after his RBI.
