Time for Barry to cut-and-run from Afghanistan? It certainly would fit the rest of his dictator-loving foreign policy. Leaking the latest unhappy command report to the Guardian, of all media, isn’t grounds for confidence. Meanwhile, Michael Yon says there’s already a crippling shortage of helicopters to ferry American troops around the mountains. Accidental? Or the beginning of the end?
UPDATE: Meanwhile, ol’ one-term Barry is looking more one term everyday.

I am still sure that leaving Afghanistan now will be a catastrophe that shall echo for generations to come, at least in the Middle East and, I am sure, far beyond it.
I realize, however, that it’s easy to say when you don’t have your countrymen dying there.
No good choices, it looks like.
None. I’m new school on this one. Keep the ground troops to a minimum, train up the Afghans, and provide them with plenty of air support and medical evac. Sort of like the surge in Iraq. Except the population is smaller and more scattered. The terrain is just godawful, which is why invading Iran would be nigh impossible.
