The Thugs of Charlotte

The Charlotte rioters have distinguished themselves by being both more violent and less relevant than even the Ferguson thugs. Not to mention the rioters of Baltimore, Milwaukee, Chicago, and New York. Interestingly, these thugs are supporting what are, in Ferguson’s case indisputably, and in Charlotte’s case so far presumably, bad asses who were killed because they were asking for it from the cops. This is Obama’s America—where criminals are emboldened.

Black rioters, in general, have always distinguished themselves by their trashing and looting of stores. What a politician would call being “off message.” It tends to weaken with the rest of us whatever argument they have. What is unusual about Charlotte is they are not trashing Dollar General in their own blighted neighborhoods but upscale, downtown shops in the heart of the banking district where non-blacks are vulnerable. Thousands of employees have been told not to come to work.

Which probably thrills the thug supporters in the modern, and very undistinguished NAACP, not to mention the anti-Israel Black Lives Matter anarchists—financed, lest we forget, by the leftist Ford Foundation— who are clearly anti-cop and anti-public order. But meanwhile it has reportedly ignited a rush on buying firearms, mostly 12-gauge shotguns and buckshot.

If the Democrats had any sense (I know, I know) they’d be working mightily and highly visibly to restore peace to Charlotte. But whether they do or not, the rioting is going to be a tremendous aid to electing Donald Trump, the law-and-order candidate, to the White House. Thanks, thugs.

  1. One of the side stories from the Charlotte fracas is the Donald saying he would implement Stop and Frisk ala NYC. No doubt it worked there. Personally, I am appalled at how quickly and freely we give away our Constitutional Rights in the face of slight adversity.

  2. Stop and Frisk, as I recall, was in response to a huge increase in street crime in NYC, aggressive panhandling, assaults, etc. S&F was applied to those who, in the eyes of the beat cops, seemed to be looking for trouble. Not done to everyone and not only to minorities. It was supported by most people until the street crime was significantly reduced. Then lawsuits about the rights you speak of stopped it. Not sure how it could be introduced elsewhere or under what circumstances. Maybe Trump knows, or maybe he just wanted to dominate the news cycle as he has done so well up to know. We hardly ever hear about the dragon lady. We’re always hearing about something he said.

  3. The democrats are scared and they are trying to rev up their base through this “protest”. They know there are starting to lose North Carolina so in their mind it doesn’t matter what the facts are, as long as they get the media exposure so they can craft the message. What they are NOT counting on is that formula is starting to look like it’s not only not working, but is becoming very counter productive as you mention above. This is understandable if you consider they live in a cocoon with the MSM giving them positive feed back all the time no matter what.

  4. Stanley,
In a way you can think of the Libs as a big unit moving through Indian country with dense vegetation without anybody at point or any flankers. A big fat dumb target if you just have the smarts and the moxie to take them on.

  5. I’d prefer to hunker down and call in artillery. A big fat Willie Peter round air bursting at first followed by plenty of HE.

I can feel the love! Heh.
